ArSonKuPik can add presence, intelligibility and polished air to a vocal or vocal bus, but the useful workflow begins by separating enhancement from corrective jobs such as pitch editing, de-essing, noise removal and surgical resonance control.

Goal

Clarity should reveal the performance, not harden it

Use the Vocal control to make articulation and lead presence easier to follow inside the arrangement.
Use Smart Treble only when extra openness helps; stop before consonants, breaths or cymbal spill become tiring.
Judge the vocal in the full mix as well as in solo, because a bright solo voice can still disappear when everything plays.

Starting workflow

Start with the vocal preset, then make smaller moves

Try Vocal Forward & Silky as a starting point when the source needs a more obvious lead position.
Reduce Stereo on a mono lead when widening makes the centre less convincing; use more space on doubles or vocal buses only when the arrangement benefits.
Enable Gain Match for the final decision so added level does not masquerade as added clarity.

Verification

Listen for sibilance, masking and level consistency

Check S, T and breath-heavy phrases at a realistic monitoring level.
Revisit the vocal against guitars, keys and cymbals to make sure presence comes from readability rather than excessive brightness.
Use your normal peak, loudness and de-essing tools when a technical or corrective problem still exists.

Boundary

This does not replace a complete vocal chain

ArSonKuPik does not tune pitch, remove room noise, perform surgical de-essing or fix a poor recording.
It is best treated as a musical enhancement stage after the source is already technically usable.
If a vocal has harsh resonances or unstable dynamics, solve those causes with dedicated tools before asking an enhancer to add polish.

A better vocal test

Compare the voice in context and at similar loudness.

A vocal enhancer is useful only when the singer becomes easier to understand without making the recording brittle or disconnected from the mix. Gain Match and the public A/B method help keep that judgement honest.
