Generate repeatable audio test signals without uploading audio anywhere.

Create a PCM WAV reference for signal-path checks, speaker or headphone channel verification, processor measurements and repeatable comparisons. Generation happens locally in the browser and defaults to a conservative -24 dBFS peak ceiling.

Controlled source material

Choose a signal, level and duration—then download the WAV.

The level setting is a digital peak ceiling. It is not a calibrated loudspeaker SPL, LUFS or RMS target.

All generated signals use 20 ms file-edge fades to reduce clicks.
Allowed range: -60 to -6 dBFS. Start low.
1–30 seconds. Channel/polarity sequences divide the duration into stages.
Output is 16-bit PCM WAV for broad compatibility.

Nothing is generated or played until you press Generate WAV.

Listening safety: lower monitor or headphone volume before previewing test signals. Sweeps, high frequencies and continuous noise can be uncomfortable. This utility is not a hearing test, audiogram tool or medical diagnostic device.

Privacy: the generator uses JavaScript, typed arrays and a local Blob URL. It does not intentionally send the generated WAV, your settings or listening notes to a server.

Reference level and basic signal-path checks

  • Useful for confirming gain, routing, meter response and channel consistency.
  • The selected dBFS value represents digital peak amplitude.
  • Do not infer acoustic SPL without a separately calibrated monitoring chain.
Log sweep

Broad frequency-path inspection

  • Sweeps from 20 Hz to the lower of 20 kHz or 45% of sample rate.
  • Useful for inspecting filtering, resonances or frequency-dependent behaviour.
  • A sweep alone does not describe transient, distortion or perceived spatial quality.
Pink noise

Repeatable broadband noise

  • Uses a deterministic seeded approximation so repeated generation is consistent for the same settings.
  • Normalized to the selected peak ceiling, not a calibrated loudness target.
  • Useful for spectral-path checks and repeatable broadband excitation.
Stereo checks

Channel identity and polarity behaviour

  • Channel sequence: both, left, right, both.
  • Polarity sequence: first half in phase, second half with the right channel inverted.
  • Use low playback level; polarity cancellation depends on the playback and summing path.
